Komen CSNJ Set to Host 2019 Breast Cancer Conference: Advancing the Practice of Patient-Centered Care

Susan G. Komen Central and South Jersey (Komen CSNJ) will host its 2019 Breast Cancer Conference: Advancing the Practice of Patient-Centered Care on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Rutgers University-New Brunswick, Busch Student Center from 9AM to 2PM.

Advancing the Practice of Patient-Centered Care is a conference for health professionals, patient advocates and other relevant stakeholders to examine patient-centered innovations in breast cancer care delivery and promising concepts for improving patient outcomes and experience. The conference will consist of forward-thinking presentations, audience participation exercises and plentiful networking opportunities.

This event features seven presentations from leading experts on topics such as cultural competency, effective communication, health literacy, staffing solutions, patient engagement and more.

Karen Correa, MS, Ph.D., CCRA, will lead the event with an executive welcome and introduce our keynote speaker, Sharon L. Manne, Ph.D.

A research preview during lunch from Komen Scholar Dawn Hershman, MD, MS will focus on patient-centered solutions for improving cancer symptoms and their quality of life.
